Larry Gonzales - Vice President of Production

Larry is the Vice President of Production for Medalist Sports. He specializes in venue management, inventory, and logistics. Larry began his event management career in 2000 working for two years on the “Got Milk? Mobile Mustache Tour” operated by Synergy Sports, now Synergy Events. In 2002-2003, Larry worked at Synergy Sports’ home base in New Jersey as their inventory, fleet, and operations manager. During that term, clients included Nike, Mountain Dew, Lipton Brisk, Pringles, and the National Dairy Council. Larry has been working with members of the Medalist Sports’ staff since 2002.

During 2003 and 2004, Larry continued his pursuit of event management by working at corporate sponsor events for clients such as Pfizer and BMW, while also providing logistical and technical assistance for the first two years of the Tour de Georgia. Larry was contracted in 2005 to assist the Technical Director in the Dodge Tour de Georgia.

Since 2005 Larry has handled venue production for events such as the Tour de Georgia, Tour of Missouri, Amgen Tour of California, the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s LiveStrong Challenges, The Dempsey Challenge, the USA Cycling Professional Championships in Greenville, SC, and more.

Larry graduated from Righetti High School in Santa Maria, CA. He then moved to Tucson, AZ and received an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Pima Community College. In 1999, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona’s College of Education, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. He currently resides in Arizona.
