Andrew Roden joined Medalist Sports in January 2012. Andrew coordinates with each event’s project team on behalf of the managing partners to maintain internal accountability, project management oversight, and acts as liaison to clients for mass participation and not-for-profit events. These duties include management of budget, staffing, marketing, volunteers, host venue relations, site production, technical, risk management, sponsor fulfillment, and registration services.
Prior to joining Medalist Sports, Andrew worked for the Atlanta Braves as a Ticket Sales Trainee. This program gave Andrew experience in client relations, sales, and leadership. Other duties included planning, organizing, managing, and execution of several special events such as the Beacon Awards for the Civil Rights Weekend, multiple fundraising events, and post-game concerts.
Additionally, Andrew was the Regional Sales Manager for Furniture Services Company, a hotel furniture restoration company. In this role he worked to streamline office efficiency, implement new marketing strategies, and expand the company’s footprint. Prior to this role he worked for several years as project manager for the company on hotel renovations where his responsibilities included training new field technicians, quality control, coordination with the hotel staff, general contractor and other renovation teams, and overall project management to meet all deadlines.
